Stay and Play at Oakmere Day Nursery is a calm, friendly session for babies and children under 3. Pop in to explore toys, meet other families and use our free baby weighing scales as often as you need.
Sessions run Mondays and Fridays, 9:30am–11:00am (term time only). You do not need to already attend the nursery – everyone is welcome and sessions are completely free.
Limited spaces each session – please reserve your place on the calendar so we can keep the room calm and comfortable.

Free baby weighing scales
Our free baby weighing scales are available at every session. Weigh your baby as often as you like, in your own time, with staff nearby if you would like support.
Open to all families
You do not need to be a nursery parent to come. Parents, carers, grandparents and guardians are all welcome – it is for everyone in the community, and it is completely free.

Book your free Stay and Play session
Choose a Monday or Friday morning that suits you, then reserve your free place using the calendar and form below. You can mention if you plan to use the baby weighing scales so we can have them ready.
Step 1 – Pick your date
Use the calendar to choose a Monday or Friday during our Stay and Play weeks (sessions do not run in term time).
Step 2 – Tell us who is coming
Complete the short booking form so we know your child’s age and how many adults will attend.
Step 3 – Check your email
We will send you a quick confirmation with all the details you need for your visit.
There is no charge to book. If you cannot attend, simply reply to your confirmation email so we can offer the space to another family.

Do I have to be a parent at Stay and Play Nursery to come?
No. Stay and Play sessions are open to everyone in the community who cares for a child under 3 – parents, carers, grandparents and guardians are all very welcome. You do not need to be enrolled in the nursery, and there is no expectation that you will sign up.
Is there any cost for the session or the baby weighing scales?
No, there is absolutely no cost. Our Stay and Play sessions are completely free, and the baby weighing scales are also free to use as often as you like during the session.
What ages are the sessions suitable for?
Stay and Play is designed for babies and children under 3 years old, along with their parent or carer. If you have more than one child in this age group, they are welcome to come together.
When do sessions run?
Sessions run on Monday and Friday mornings, from 9:30am to 11:00am, in term time.
Do I need to book, or can I just turn up?
Please book a space using the calendar so we can manage numbers and keep the room relaxed and comfortable. Booking is quick, free, and helps us make sure there is space for your child to play and for you to use the free baby weighing scales.
